pathhog is a place-saving and trip-building platform. These guidelines apply to all user-generated content on pathhog, including shared board titles and descriptions, place comments and notes, trip content shared with others, profile information, and any other content you create or share through the platform.
These guidelines work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. RESPECT OTHERS
- No harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation.
- No hate speech, slurs, or content that promotes discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Be considerate in board descriptions, comments, and any shared content.
2. KEEP IT HONEST
- Don't post misleading place information (wrong addresses, fabricated reviews, fake opening hours).
- Don't misrepresent locations, conditions, or experiences.
- Don't impersonate other users, creators, or businesses.
- Be transparent about any commercial relationships or sponsorships.
3. KEEP IT APPROPRIATE
- No sexually explicit, graphic, or gratuitously violent content in board titles, descriptions, or comments.
- No content that sexualises minors in any way.
- No promotion or glorification of illegal activities, including drug use, weapons trafficking, or fraud.
- No content that promotes self-harm or eating disorders.
4. RESPECT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- Only share content you have the right to share.
- Respect creators' original work — don't copy board descriptions or guides without credit.
- If you believe your copyrighted work has been used without permission, contact us at support@pathhog.com with details of the content and your ownership claim.
5. NO SPAM OR MANIPULATION
- Don't create boards or content solely for advertising or self-promotion.
- Don't use misleading titles or descriptions to attract views.
- Don't artificially inflate engagement (fake saves, automated interactions).
- Don't use the platform to distribute malware, phishing links, or scams.
6. CREATOR CONTENT
Creator content displayed in pathhog is sourced from public Instagram posts with the creator's consent under our Creator Terms. If you are a creator and believe your content is displayed without proper authorisation, contact us immediately at support@pathhog.com.
7. REPORTING CONTENT
If you see content that violates these guidelines:
- Use the report button in the app (tap the three-dot menu on any content).
- Or email support@pathhog.com with a description of the content and why it violates these guidelines.
We review all reports and aim to take action within 24 hours.
8. ENFORCEMENT
Violations may result in:
- Content removal.
- A warning on your account.
- Temporary suspension of sharing features.
- Permanent account termination for serious or repeated violations.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines or that we reasonably believe is harmful, even if not explicitly covered above.
9. CHANGES TO THESE GUIDELINES
We may update these guidelines as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app and/or by email. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
