What is pathhog?
pathhog is a place-saving and trip-building app. Share an Instagram post to pathhog and our AI extracts the place: name, location, map pin. Save places into collections, organise them into boards, and turn them into trips.
How do I save a place?
Use the share extension from Instagram (or any app) to share a post to pathhog. Our AI pipeline extracts the place and creates a bookmark with a map pin, address, and metadata. You can also search for places directly in the app.
How do I build a trip?
Go to the Trips tab, tap "New Trip", add dates, then add places from your saved collection. You can reorder stops, add notes, and screenshot your bookings (hotels, flights) to keep everything in one place. Share trips with friends for collaborative planning.
Can I share my boards?
Yes. Boards can be shared publicly. Anyone with the link can view them. You control the title, description, and which places are included. Editors you invite can add or remove places.
How do I become a creator?
Visit our Become a Creator page and join the waitlist. We're onboarding travel creators in batches. You'll need a public Instagram account with travel, food, or lifestyle content.
Does pathhog access my Instagram account?
No. pathhog only processes publicly available Instagram posts that you share via the share extension. We never access your Instagram login, credentials, private messages, or non-public content.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Tap the three-dot menu on any piece of content and select "Report". Choose the reason and submit. You can also email support@pathhog.com. We review all reports within 24 hours. See our Community Guidelines for more details.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption, access controls, and security measures. Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. For full details, read our Privacy Policy.
DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT
You can delete your account at any time:
- Open pathhog → Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion.
This permanently removes your profile, saved places, boards, and trips. The process completes within 30 days. You can also request account deletion by emailing privacy@pathhog.com.
