pathhog User Terms
These User Terms ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the pathhog app (iOS and Android) and pathhog.com (together, the "Service"). If you are a creator whose public Instagram content is displayed through pathhog, your relationship with us is also governed by the pathhog Creator Terms.
Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
1. ELIGIBILITY & ACCOUNTS
1.1 You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority, you must have a parent/guardian's consent.
1.2 You are responsible for your account, credentials and the accuracy of information you provide.
2. THE SERVICE
2.1 pathhog is a place-saving and trip-building service. Creators' publicly available Instagram recommendations may be displayed inside pathhog as structured place entries that users can bookmark, organise into Boards, and add to Trips. Some place entries link to third-party services (e.g., ticketing, activities, hotels) that may earn pathhog a commission.
2.2 We may use automated systems (including large-language models) to structure, summarize and present public information. Outputs may contain errors or omissions. Always verify details before making plans or purchases.
2.3 We may modify, suspend or discontinue any feature at any time.
3. YOUR USE & PROHIBITED CONDUCT
You agree not to, and not to allow others to:
- violate laws, rights of others, or these Terms;
- attempt to access non-public areas, interfere with security, or probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities;
- copy, scrape at scale, or cache substantial parts of the Service except as enabled by standard web/browser functions;
- use the Service for harassment, spam, misleading claims, or to post/upload unlawful or infringing content (if posting features exist);
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
4. CONTENT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
4.1 Creators' content. Creator content displayed in pathhog remains the property of the creators and/or Instagram. You may view and save place entries for personal use only. Do not download, reproduce, or redistribute creator content except as allowed by law.
4.2 pathhog rights. The Service, UI, software, databases and aggregated/de-identified insights are owned by pathhog and its licensors. Subject to these Terms, pathhog grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
4.3 User submissions. If the Service allows comments, lists, reviews or feedback, you grant pathhog a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use such submissions to operate and improve the Service. You remain responsible for your submissions.
5. USER BOARDS & SHARED CONTENT
5.1 Your boards. The Service lets you save place entries into personal Boards and share those Boards publicly via a link. When you share a Board, the place entries, images and attribution information within it become visible to anyone with the link.
5.2 Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for the Boards you create and share. By sharing a Board you represent that you have the right to share the content within it and that the Board does not violate these Terms, any applicable law, or the rights of any third party. pathhog does not pre-screen user Boards.
5.3 Content sourced from third parties. Place entries in your Boards may include images, text and other content originally published by third-party creators on external platforms (e.g., Instagram). Such content is displayed with attribution that links back to the original creator's profile and remains the property of the original creators. You may not download, reproduce or redistribute that content except as allowed by law or enabled by standard Service functions.
5.4 No endorsement. Sharing or displaying a Board does not imply pathhog's endorsement of its contents, accuracy, or the views of the user who created it.
5.5 Removal. pathhog may remove or restrict access to any Board or content that violates these Terms, infringes intellectual property rights, or is subject to a valid legal complaint, without prior notice.
6. COPYRIGHT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COMPLAINTS
6.1 Designated agent. pathhog's designated agent for receiving copyright infringement notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is:

6.2 Takedown notices. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property, please send a written notice to the designated agent above that includes: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Service, (c) your contact information, (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised, and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder.
6.3 Upon receiving a valid notice, pathhog will promptly remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who posted it, where possible. Removal may take the form of an image swap: the infringing media (e.g., an Instagram-sourced image) is removed while the factual place data (name, address, location) is preserved. Due to caching, removed content may remain briefly visible on some devices for a short period after removal is processed.
6.4 Counter-notices. If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the designated agent above that includes: (a) identification of the material removed and the location where it appeared, (b) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, (c) your name, address and telephone number, and (d) a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice. Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, pathhog will restore the material within 10–15 business days unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.
6.5 Repeat infringers. pathhog will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
7. THIRD-PARTY LINKS, DISCLOSURES & TRANSACTIONS
7.1 The Service links to third-party sites and services (e.g., GetYourGuide, Viator, Trip.com, Klook, Expedia). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. pathhog is not responsible for third-party content, availability, pricing, fulfilment, or cancellations.
7.2 Affiliate disclosure. pathhog may earn commissions from some links. This helps keep the Service running. Commissions do not affect your price.
8. TRAVEL & SAFETY DISCLAIMER
The Service provides general information and convenience features. It does not constitute travel, legal, health, or safety advice. Verify opening hours, locations, restrictions and requirements (e.g., visas, weather, closures) with official sources. You assume all risks associated with activities and travel you undertake.
9. PRIVACY
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and share information. By using the Service you consent to those practices.
10. TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or risk to the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new effective date and providing notice within the Service. Changes apply prospectively. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. DISCLAIMERS
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, pathhog disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate or error-free.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, pathhog's aggregate liability arising from or relating to your use of the Service will not exceed SGD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues or data.
14. INDEMNITY
You will indemnify and hold harmless pathhog and its affiliates from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms or laws.
15. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
